VFF24 - AMERICAN POT STORY: OAKSTERDAM + THE JOURNEY OF BET TZEDEK

  • Laemmle NoHo7 5240 Lankershim Boulevard North Hollywood, 91601 United States (map)

Activism begins at home and this documentary program confirms the impossible is possible when people come together for a common cause.

AMERICAN POT STORY: OAKSTERDAM - This feature documentary chronicles a campaign that brought cannabis into the mainstream. Today, when we see celebrities and corporations get into the cannabis business it’s easy to forget how many millions of people unjustly suffered — and still suffer — because of the American drug policy.

Preceded by THE JOURNEY OF BET TZEDEK - A short documentary celebrating 50 years of Los-Angeles-based Bet Tzedek, an organization that provides free legal advice and representation to workers, small business owners, renters, homeowners, and others experiencing discrimination, disparities, and exploitation.

Note: Films are unrated by the MPAA. Program is current at time of publication and titles may be subject to change. Tickets may be purchased directly from the Laemmle NoHo7 Theatre box office.
